So a few fun things have happened! I'm trying to live it up before my internship starts in a couple weeks, and I'm putting of the remainder of my summer homework as long as I can :)

We went and visted Dad in Pullman....we're in driving distance again!! We went for a couple bike rides, including a 26 miler. It was awesome. Even with his bum knee dad has found someway to be crazy active. He's become almost as passionate about biking as he was hiking, climbing etc. He goes a couple times a week now! He's crazy :) However, Danny and I have bikes now and are just as addicted!!

This week we road the on the Boise Greenbelt. It's a paved path that goes along the Boise River. We're not really sure how far we went- Danny got a flat and we made a few detours. It was really fun and a great workout!

We also we went to Lucky Peak Lake again, lots of fun! We found out Charlie likes to be held, even IN the water. He's such a weirdo. He hates it when Danny swims. He whines and cries and tries to jump on him. Danny usually ends up pretty scratched up :) In the end we all have fun. We're really trying to enjoy all of this time we have together!

Yesterday we hiked on Bogus Basin and had some amazing views. I also got stung by a bee on my ankle where it meets the knee and bends. It hurt. I cried, like a big baby. Danny and I can't think of a reason to ever move back home, everything we could want is pretty much within 20 minutes. I'm starting to miss my friends and family, but there is definitely A LOT to do here!!

I also met a couple of the interns today. They seem really nice. I'm nervous for my internship though. I feel like everyone else is smarter than me and I'll look like an idiot. Let's hope thats not the case because I'm racking up the debt to be here :)

We officially live in Boise!!

It's been a week now. My mom and Gary were here for a night, left to see Hannah, and came back for a couple nights. I cried when she left. I now live in a different state than my mom, yikes. Hannah thinks I'm pathetic of course :)

I like it here. Danny loves it, doesn't know if he can leave. I like that I don't have allergies and there is SO much to do! I haven't started my internship yet, not until August 17th. I'm sure things will get alot crazier then.

Danny wants us to start a blog. So, since I suck at this I'll probably let him make some posts and updates as he so chooses.

It's freaking hot here, we're told it'll only get hotter. There's a water park a few miles a way that we will definitely be visiting. We also plan to float the Boise River a time or two. Today we went to the zoo and took Charlie to Lucky Peak Reservoir. I'll post a couples pictures.

I got the Boise - Idaho State University Dietetic Internship!! Danny, Charlie and I are moving to Boise on July 15th....so uh, just a couple days AHH!! I'm excited and nervous for both the internship and living away from my mama!

My dad finally moves into my time zone and I decide to move out! Good thing is it's only about a 5 hour drive from him and SLC, so hopefully, time permitting, I'll be able to see my family some more!!

Love you guys....i'll post some pictures of our new place when we get there! It's a two story townhouse, only a couple years old. We're really happy with it.

So, 2009 stinks yeeaaahhh!! Don't know if it's gotten around yet, but I found out I was born with a heart arrythmia after it started giving me a bunch of problems. It's a AV nodal re-entrant tachycardia. But it's fixed now :) I had a cardiac ablation on wednesday and there's a 99% chance its gone. The worst part was they failed THREE times getting my IV in. They finally got it the fourth time after punturing two veins. I look like a pin cushion. I'm still in bed and sore, and cranky because they only gave me vicodin and I still hurt ggrrrrrr. All I have to say is four words: Thank Goodness For Hulu.com. Seriously. That website has saved my life.

Me: What heart monitor?

Nurse: Hmmm well uh we need to get you one of those, now. I'll be right back.

I did manage to go (very drugged up, and sick) to a performance of Wicked last night, which was amazing. I hurt and I had to shuffle around like a 99 year old woman, but I made it through.

I also had finals week this week, well all mine were Monday and Tuesday, and obviously survived that as well. Can't wait until thats over, for real this time. I'm jealous Kellie. On a happy note I found out I am a finalist for the Boise internship and had a phone intervew on Tuesday. It went really well I think!!

Sorry I suck at blogging. This is all I can manage to muster up right now :) But I highly recommend, The Office, Family Guy (OF COURSE!!), and American Dad.

PS. It also looks like I failed to mention I was hit by a bus earlier this year....in my car. I'm ok, obviously. I've also had a number of other unfortunate occurances. :) I'm really looking forward to a new start in April, hopefully. HA!

Christmas time!

Pheeww. We had about a foot of snow and an ice storm! Portland was basically shut down for a week. I spent a week at my mom's to avoid being stranded away from my family :) Thank goodness for Danny's 4 wheel drive!

Dad comes today. He's had some airport drama. EVERY flight he has booked is delayed for one reason or the other. It looks like he'll make it though! We're having Christmas with him tonight (Amy couldn't make it because of last minute work conflicts). Danny turns 25 on the 29th. We're going to the coast for a couple nights with Dad and Danny's dad and step mom. We're looking forward to it!

I forgot to mention I got violently ill this trip with a parasite. I had to miss Machu Picchu. I spent 24 hours rotating from the bed to the potty :) Thank goodness I went last year!

Trying the blog again!

Alright, I'm not nearly as funny as the rest of my family, I have no kids (unless you count my Charlie), and I've never had to crawl out my window on a homemade sheet-rope. But, I'll try to make this blog exciting despite it all and keep everyone updated :)

Here's a quick summary of the last two years, ha! Since breaking of my engagement a couple years ago, life has been amazing! It was a little rough at first, and there were the dog custody issues (obviously I prevailed). I went to Peru and volunteered in teh orphanage which remains the single most amazing, life changing experience. It couldn't have come at a better time. Oh ya, RIGHT before that I graduated college whooo hoo! After Peru I went straight into summer school and have continued. I "met" Danny, although we went to the same high school, I knew his whole family, and we "met" before......we never really talked. Oh yeah I started working at the bank again, got an apartment with a girl named Alyssa (seriously, what are the chances). Charlie ADORES her. You'l probably never see her because she absolutely refuses to get her picture taken (I'll try). Let's see, Dad and I went to Peru this last summer which was also INCREDIBLE! We went back to the orphanage and saw some of the same kids. It was so great to share the experience that changed my life with him.
Now I'm at Oregon State. I'll finish with another BS in June 09. Yeah two bacc degrees but whatever. I'm in the process of applying for internships, 1)Idaho State-Boise, 2)Sea Mar Community Health Center- Seattle 3) Mid Willamette Valley- Salem. These are all accredited internships by the American Dietetic Association. Following acceptance and completion of the internship (which is around 10 months), I get to take the RD exam! Assuming I pass I'll be a registered dietician! PPhheeeww! I have no idea, yet, what I want to specialize in or anything of that sort. I'll probably have to start in clinical (hospital setting) which sounds the least fun to me. I DON'T want to work with eating disorders, I've had enough experience ;) The recovery rate is disgustingly low and I think it'd be too depressing. I probably want to work in Community Dietetics; WIC program, Oregon Dairy Council....nutrition ed programs. Not the real money maker!

I loved seeing you guys over Thanksgiving, sorry we couldn't see you all! Danny LOVED you guys and it meant alot that I could share my family with him. We had a blast! *Kel....I did check into internships closer to you guys because I'd LOVE to live by you! BYU is the ONLY one!!! The U has nothing!! Utah state as a distance internship. You do the classes online and you have to find sites to do the rotation blah blah. I couldn't believe there's nothing in SLC. The other closest was Pocatello, Id (another site for the Idaho State University internship), but I still think thats at least a couple hours away? I just don't think I could do BYU :)
